LX Street XA Kit Challenger Charger Magnum and 300C
The function of the LX suspension is limited by highly compliant rubber bushes. People often ask why Petty's places so much emphasis on bushes before coils, dampers (struts and shocks) or sway bars. The answer is you can't set a fence post in Jell-O and expect a good result. As engineers strive to isolate vehicle occupants from Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) suspension stability is reduced. The OE radius rod bushes and rear sub-frame bushes in your LX are highly compliant creating a numb or vague steering feel as well as significant bump steer. These are readily addressed with EP6567 radius arm bushes and an EP2113 Bump steer Correction Kit. Petty?s Xa 46mm high pressure nitrogen charged monotubes. Xa coilovers are height adjustable by screwing the entire body into the clevis or lower mount. Adjusting height this way maintains suspension travel as the coil preload has not been changed. With your Xa coilovers installed your LX it will sit 15mm lower in the front and rear. Xa coilovers have an adjustment range of 70mm total drop at the lowest setting. Adjustment is dead on accurate. Just count the clicks. Oops I lost my count - no worries, zero it out and count again. Xa coilovers feature 30 position fixed ratio damping with positive click settings. They range from OE soft to R ready.
