The LX delivers with dampers (shocks and struts) that are moderately tuned on the critical damping scale. Conservatively driven the LX is well mannered and controlled. Driven more aggressively, the LX feels as large an imposing as it looks. Pedders Gas Sports Ryder (GSR) dampers are twin tube construction with low pressure nitrogen and valved higher on the critical damping scale. You cannot evaluate a damper by compressing it against the floor of your garage. Oil in a damper becomes harder when compressed at speed just like water. You can dip your hand in a pool with ease. Slap your hand rapidly and the water feels harder. The oil in a damper is similar. Pedders valving is tuned for low speed comfort and high speed control.
