G8 Alignment Specifications

GM's Billion Dollar investment in the Global Rear Wheel Drive ZETA / VE / ZETA II technologies pays off on the road in the driving experience. The over all compliance of the OE bushes, basic oil and air struts, light critical damping and spring rates limits  aggressive alignment of the G8 and the G8 driving experience. Pedders G8 Suspension Upgrades limit the combined compliance and improve dynamic alignment. With a complete Pedders Suspension upgrade the G8 can be aligned to enhance turn in, straight line stability and return to center of the steering wheel and in general transform the G8 in a slot car like sedan. We know. Our G8 has been track tested at speeds in excess of 160 MPH and road tested for more than 15,000 miles. The Pedders USA G8 is currently aligned to these specifications.

Front
Castor +7.75
Camber -1.5
Toe 1 Degree Total Toe Out
A bit of Toe Out improved turn in.

Rear
Toe L .002 R .003
Camber -1.8
Thrust Angle 0.00
Adjust Toe to a Zero Thrust Angle.

These specifications will work ONLY with Pedders bits installed. They work best with a full Track II or a Track eXtreme. The higher negative cambers will reduce tire wear. This is a sacrifice the most enthusiastic drivers are more than willing to make. If you prefer to use Pedders to improve handling and tire life use the OEM specifications and IGNORE the green ranges on the alignment machine. Do it right. A Pedderised G8 should be aligned to perfectly matched specifications. There is no need for a castor bias with Pedders bits installed. Your G8 will not search on crowned roads.

For a Pedders quality alignment you will be best served by having your alignment performed at a Certified Pedders Dealership. To find your nearest Pedders Dealer use the Pedders Dealer Locator .
