Pedders puts the HHR SS on steroids with our Xa eXtreme Coilovers. Lowering the HHR SS to 595mm front and 610mm rear brings the CG down tosedan or coupe like. The upgraded damping and special alloy higher rate coils complete the transformation. Running original equipment Bridgestone tires on factory wheel with no other modifications the Pedderised HHR SS turns in.97 constant Gs on the skid pad. Stan Wilson drove Cobalt in SCCA T3 to a championship and he was blown away by the Pedderised HHR SS street car. Our HHR SS gets the groceries and takes the kids to school. His Cobalt was a dedicated race car. Here is what Stan had to say about Pedders Xa coilovers:
If my T3 Cobalt had a Xa coilover suspension it would have been two to three seconds faster guaranteed!
Chevrolet did the HHR with the enthusiast in mind. Aside from the practicality of the vehicle, it has an automotive cool factor. Check the right boxes on the order form and you end up with LSD, Brembo brakes and a 260 HP Turbocharged Hot Rod. The tweaks from GM High Performance to the suspension are spot on -- but still a little tall for our tastes. So we created the Pedders HHR SS.
How does it drive -- you can be the judge. This is in car video from a run at http://www.gingermanraceway.com/ in Michigan. The car is stock with the exception of Pedders SportsRyder Coils (Front 220006 and Rear 220007). As shown the ride heights are 605mm front and 612mm rear with 18" wheels. Let's take a ride.
Most people that see the Pedders HHR SS think the body work is custom.
They think the interior is custom. They think the exhaust and inter-cooler are custom. GM did it all
except the coils. The lower stance and higher rate make the difference. Pedders HHR coils are compatible with all versions of the HHR and GM Delta platform vehicles. Is it time to Pedderise your HHR?
